MOD Easy SideCar 3

I’ve had mine for a little over three weeks. Love it.

Well-made. All the various components are quality. (They had damned well better be for the price point! 😉)

I assembled it myself. It wasn’t too hard. Just watch the video and give yourself a couple of hours. You’ll be fine. After a few days, I had a local bike shop adjust the derailleur since it was a little out of alignment. It’s been easy riding ever since.

Super comfy ride. I’m never in a hurry, and cruising on this sexy beast fits my modus operandi perfectly..

I went with the dual battery pack configuration to extend the range. So far, the range on a single charge is about as advertised. I had about 75 miles on it, and still had about 20% left on my charge.

The electric motor is really smooth. I am middle-aged and out of shape. I never thought I would bicycle again. This bike changes everything.

My dog loves the sidecar. Loves it.

There is a Facebook group for.MOD owners. Check it out. I’ve already picked up some great tips from other owners.

One thing to be mindful of: It is heavy. Especially with a second battery pack. And it is a fat tire bike. Any bike rack that isn’t designed for wide tires won’t work that well. Whatever you go with for a car rack. - the MOD rack with sidecar extender or a more conventional platformcargo rack - it is a chore getting the bike up onto the rack.

But come on. We didn’t buy this for ourselves. We bought it for our dogs. OK, fine. Maybe for our kids. But really, it’s for our dogs. So every sacrifice is worth it.

Replacement tire came on Monday, June 30, and is mounted. Waiting for reasonable temps and humidity to get out with my wife in our modified sidecar.

Have used the pump several times and found it easy to use and very convienent. Our hand pump had just broken, so we found it at the right moment!

I bought the easy with side car for my wife and daughter with Downs syndrome to join the family on rides in the black hills of South Dakota . They both love it! I own 5 high end e-bikes and this one is the most well built and top quality materials. My wife is petite at 100 lbs, but can easily carry my daughter who is 140 lbs in the sidecar with the power this has. This has changed our lives allowing them to join our 3 sons on trails!

Great piece of equipment, very well made! My only request would be to consider including a bottom piece to support the device. While it feels very secure, my inner paranoiac worries about the device slipping out. I might not feel that I have to screw the holder down as much and avoid possible damage to the device. Also would help when, at the end of a ride, someone loosens the screw and forgets to hold onto the device (I know, who would do that? Oh yea, I could see myself doing that!) and it falls to the hard hard ground. But overall, 5 staars for a well made accessory!
