E-BIKE cLASSES

As electric bike regulations may vary depending on your state. We designed our bikes to be able to MODify to be easily updated to comply with your state’s regulations. If your MOD BIKE needs to be reconfigured, Please follow the instructions below to update your MOD BIKES class:

To make your Class 3 or Class 2 MOD BIKE comply with Class 1 standards:

1. Access the settings in the MOD Smart Display by holding down the “+” and “-” buttons together.
2. Navigate to “Speed Limit”.
3. Limit the speed to 20 mph. Press the “i” button to save these settings.
4. Next, unplug the throttle.
5. Class 1 allows you to continue using your MOD Bike with pedal assist ONLY!

To make your Class 3 Mod Bike comply with Class 2 standards:

1. Access the settings in the MOD Smart Display by holding down the “+” and “-” buttons together.
2. Navigate to “Speed Limit”.
3. Limit the speed to 20 mph. Press the “i” button to save these settings.
4. Class 2 allows you to continue using your MOD Bike with the throttle or pedal assist
