Hi Mike,
Thanks for your follow-up message. Gotta say, you guys stay on top of your customers' orders, satisfaction, updates, etc.
My bike was shipped on schedule, and though it took a few more days to arrive than originally thought, I still have to give it up for the shipping company (Saia) for keeping me updated on a timely basis. Better yet, their driver backed that tractor trailer right into our residential neighborhood, then helped get the pallet moved up our steep driveway.
The bike was not particularly hard to assemble, I started with the easiest (the sidecar) before moving to the Sahara bike itself. I had a friend assist me, one who had once held a job assembling motorcycles, so that made the task much easier.
Test drives in our subdivision went well, then we hauled the bike down to a state park in the Ozarks where we rode for a couple of days. Again, all went well. Adjusting to the sidecar has taken a bit of practice, but having not crashed it yet means that I must be dealing with the learning curve!
At the end of last week I did have a mechanical failure. I've been working with Tim and Brian to resolve that (which was done quickly!). I'm awaiting the new parts and hopefully that will get me back on the road.
I don't know if you know much about Columbia, MO. It's a university town, Mizzou is highly rated and in the SEC Conference. The running joke in town was that Columbia aspired to be Madison, or Boulder ... now we have to throw Austin into that mix to include all of the "stay weird" campuses.
I asked earlier if anyone was aware of any other MOD Bikes sold to Columbia customers. Didn't appear so (?), so I'm hereby declaring myself MOD Bikes Brand Ambassador for Columbia, Missouri!
I owe Brian an email as well following up on the damaged components order.
Thanks Mike, if you have any other questions don't hesitate to contact me.
Roger
