- After receiving the bike/item, you have 7 days to notify us regarding a refund or exchange. We do not accept returns or exchanges after 7 days of receiving the bike/item.
- The customer will be responsible for securely packing the bike/item.
- If needed, we will send you a shipping label and schedule a pick-up for returns or exchanges.
- The bike must be in the original box, and securely packed.
- The bike must be in the same condition you received it, without any damage.
- Damaged bikes will not be accepted, and the customer will be responsible for any damages incurred during shipping due to improper packing.
- Once we receive and inspect the bike, we will send an email notifying you that we received the items and will proceed with processing the refund or exchange.
- Pre-orders can be canceled and fully refunded at any point before receiving the order, and up to 7 days after receiving the item according to our return policy.
- Used bikes/items are not eligible for returns or exchanges.
- It is within MOD BIKES discretion to accept or deny the return or exchange of items.
- Refunds can take up to 14 days to process once a returned bike is received and approved for a refund.
- MOD Bikes is keeping the right to charge returns a 25% restocking fee.
- All claims for damages should be made to our Customer Service Department at support@mod-bikes.com immediately upon receipt of damaged foods. I must say that I'm very impressed with this bike. I've been resisting the idea of e-bikes for years but it was the sidecar that hooked me. I recently sold my ride-on mower and my kids were sad that they weren't gonna get rides anymore so I took some of my 12-year bonus money and got this bike.
I'm typically using it for commuting and driving my kids around. I got tired of watching all the other students zooming past me on their e-bikes so I wanted to get my own to commute to school.
Its a powerful machine. I'm 6,2 and weigh 270 but this bike still keeps up with cars alongside me. Gears switch smoothly and the throttle is definitely needed to start moving with the sidecar if you're starting uphill.
It was fairly easy to assemble. Some of the parts were already attached, despite the directions and additional tools were required to finish it. You should really have someone help you with the sidecar assembly.
If you have the money (which is considerable), then I say go for it. Its very adjustable, powerful, stylish, and fun. Hope this gave good perspective.

This thing is a tank! This is my second season using my bike. I use it to commute to work about 20 miles round trip. The side car is perfect for carrying all my gear. Battery range isn’t a problem even when I’m heavy on the throttle I still have 2/5 bars left.
I’m purchasing a second one for my husband.

Easy to put together (I’d say a leisurely 1.5-2 hours with sidecar. In 6’, 215 pounds and am disabled to the point where I am unable to pedal a bike. Therefore, I use this with full assist all the time. Our terrain is relatively flat here in coastal North Carolina. My dog is about 40 pounds and growing
With the above being said, bike rides wonderfully, super comfortable and is responsive. Like many have noted, it does require some practice for right turns
We’ve run three complete battery cycles and I’d say average about 20 miles per charge - again FULL ASSIST full time
Wherever we go, someone asks, comments or wants to buy our ape hanger!!! Love, love, love

Start off with some stats:
1’m about 225 pounds, 5’11” and 51 years old. I have a disability that prevents me from actually pedaling any bike, so I use electric bikes as a moped more or less
I have another e-bike but that did not allow for me to bring my trusty sidekick with me on rides. I searched trailers, trikes, etc. and nothing truly peaked my interest like the Ape Hanger! Cool paint job, awesome handlebars and decent range/power!
Now it was pricey, BUT there are few competitors out there for this type of ride, and even fewer comparable ones! We spent the money and never looked back. Did take me about 2-3 hours from unboxing until riding, but I am meticulous and take my time.
My puppy weighs almost 40 pounds and he was in the sidecar for the entire 24 miles (a few trips) until we got to the last bar of charge. Not bad at all, although we are in a relatively flat, coastal area. Combined weight probably around 270 and I feel as though we could have easily gone 30 miles+. Keeping in mind again, I use NO pedal assist and both of us were on the bike the full ride.
Since then, I have taken the sidecar off to test some speeds. Comfortably, low 20’s (bike, my 225 pounds)and flat open road and hit 26 MPH at one point
Right turns are a little tricky at first and it does take a few miles to get used to. Given everything I know now, I would spend the money on this bike again
