Right in our neighborhood, and typically a little less frequented than that other mural on South Congress ;), snap a pic with this oversized postcard!

2. Retail

Allen Boots

Allen Boots encapsulates Austin, Texas. Family owned since 1977 and the top ATX shopping attraction on TripAdvisor, this is a must stop on an Austin tour. No matter if you’re looking to break in some new cowboy boots or just feel like a Texan for a day, this is the spot. If you don’t care about either, the Wall of Fame alone is worth the visit.

Wild About Music

Your fix for music memorabilia! Whether you’re looking for t-shirt of your favorite band, a new guitar, or a painting of Lady Gaga as a cat, this is the spot. We promise you’ll buy something you never knew you needed when you go here.

4. History

The Driskill

The Driskill is iconic when it comes to Austin landmarks. The hotel was built in 1886, and the place is impeccable. Grab a bite or a drink, and keep an eye out for ghosts. This building is said to be haunted! Entrance Fee: $12; $8 for Children 8 and under.

Texas State Capitol

The Capitol is a must whether you're visiting Austin for the first time or have lived here for years. The architecture is beautiful. The grounds are exquisite. And, everything's bigger in Texas. Our state Capitol is taller than the U.S. Capitol! Pro Tip: Capitol Tours are FREE if you have some time to spare.Voodoo is cash only, but there are ATMs available!

6. Activity

Blanton Museum of Art

We get it, a lot of people don’t put a museum on their “really fun things to do” list. But, Blanton is cool. Ellsworth Kelly’s Austin building is beautiful. The exhibitions are thought-provoking. The permanent collection is bursting with art from cultures around the world. and parking is stress-free on a MOD bike! Pro Tip: The museum is FREE on Thursdays! Entrance Fee: $12 for Adult; Discounted Pricing for Seniors, Students & more.

7. Point Of Interest

Whole Foods Flagship & ATX Sign

If you love Whole Foods, the flagship store is located right in the middle of Austin. Grab a snack or a beer inside, but get ready to up your Instagram game in the parking lot! Austin’s Ion Art erected this rainbow ATX sign in 2017 for you to stand on, climb on, and definitely snap photos with! Entrance Fee: $5 for Adults, $3 for Seniors, $1 for Students, Free for Children Under 12.

8. Point Of Interest

Stevie Ray Vaughan Statue

This bronze statue paying tribute to the blues legend is a breeze to find on a MOD bike! Enjoying a day at Zilker can easily get overshadowed by parking woes, but cruise the park on a MOD bike is a breeze. If you work your way through the park, take a second to pay tribute to blues legend Stevie Ray Vaughan. The location is also a prime spot for a killer view of downtown Austin! Terry Black's BBQ

Always on the top barbecue lists, and right down the road! This cafeteria style setup lives up to the hype. Meat is great, sides are even better. And just a fun fact, Michelle Obama chose Terry Black’s when she was in town. It’s good, y’all!

Manoli’s

Our favorite desserts in town and just a couple blocks from MOD! Manoli’s is family owned and operated, and everything they serve is made inside their food truck. Ice cream, paletas, cakes, and more, this is the spot for your sweet tooth fix.
