Mod Bikes!!
I absolutely love my Mod Bike. But, in all fairness and transparency, I have to address the quirks first.
My bike came in and there were several small issues. The gear shifter was broken, placed in the wrong side of the bike and upside down. Once I contacted Mod Bikes, the support team was phenomenal and worked hard to provide a solution, which was sending out a new gear shifter. Once this came in, I had to become a bike mechanic, which is something I know nothing about. I used the pictures online and made it work. Once the shifter was on, I then realized there were more problems, as the bike still would not shift. I spent hours educating myself and reaching out to Mod Bikes before I had to spend more money and take it to a bike shop. At the bike shop, they spent an hour to adjust it and get everything aligned, after replacing a cable that wasn’t long enough. For the cost, I expect much higher quality. Now, Mod Bikes did offer to pay for the shop cost and told me to send the receipts, so I do appreciate that. I haven’t submitted the receipts at this time. Next. The motor itself has plenty of power for just one rider but, with my 98lb Goldendoodle in the sidecar, it def struggles up hills but, thankfully my gears work now so I can pedal harder and faster.
The kick stand was loose from the get go and broke on day 1, as I let out the stand and rested the bike, it broke at the top. I paid out of pocket for a new one and had it shipped and installed it myself. The rear brakes make a grinding noise and I haven’t been able to figure that one out. It says “fault 25,” often, even when the brakes aren’t locked. I’ve assessed it but, don’t have a solution. My bigger complaint is the cost of the bike vs the quality on the little things. Maybe I’m just the one person who’s had these issues but, I’d rather be transparent with my review.
Now, the good! Now that the quirks have been worked out,
The bike itself is absolutely awesome! My dog is the reason I got the bike and he loves it.
The overall quality of the bike is good. (Frame) The bike is heavy and sturdy. The side car mounts perfect. The color is perfect. The bike is comfortable and ride smooth. The battery last for approximately 49 miles with my 98lb dog on the side. That’s pretty good and I’ve been impressed.
The style of the bike and color combo is the best! Overall I still give the bike a 5 out of 5. The customer support team was absolutely phenomenal. I wish every company had a team of professionals like you all do at Mod Bikes. I’m appreciative for all of the help and how quickly things were attempted to be resolved.
I still highly recommend the bike and company!

That said, a shifter arriving broken and a kickstand snapping on day one isn't the experience we want anyone to have, and we're sorry for the extra legwork that put on your plate. We're really glad our support team could help along the way, but we want to make sure the brake grinding and that 'fault 25' code get fully resolved too. I needed a replacement pedal crank for my Easy (got too close to a curb and crashed 😣). The folks in Service at MOD were great … I sent them some pictures and they had the necessary parts ready and in the mail ! Outstanding service !!
If one criticism though, the parts were sent via Global Post and took forever to get here (5 weeks) !! Hopefully in future there are more efficient ways to deliver (FedEx or UPS) so as not to waste valuable riding time !

Enjoying my mod groove bike with side car. Fun to have grand kids and my german shepherd using the sidecar.
Purchasing my Cargo 3 e-bike was a very easy process, even with using my HSA to pay for it. I used the link on the Mod-Bike website, completed a form and was verified within minutes. After that I was able to easily purchase the bike. They kept me informed throughout the whole process and the bike arrived quickly.

Mod Bikes has truly been an impressive company from start to finish with the buying process. We are so thrilled with their customer service and patience with two clueless customers. We have never owned e-bikes before; and they have kindly helped us through every hiccup we have had due to our own lack of knowledge. They have been so helpful and gracious. Unfortunately Mod-Bikes experienced a devastating fire that destroyed their garage and showroom. My Mod-Easy 3 was in the shop to get the brakes fixed before the 4th of July weekend. Although, Dor (the owner) and his team were busy mitigating the fallout from the devastating fire, they took my call regarding my bike that was in for repair, which was completely destroyed in the fire.
My wife and I had plans to use our bikes all throughout the 250th USA birthday celebration in and throughout Austin, but now I had no bike! Dor was gracious enough to lend me another Mod-Easy 3 to use until my bike was replaced. It was great! I had a bike to use for the weekend and beyond until my bike was replaced. The Mod-Bike team is the best and their bikes are great and come with a terrific 5 year warranty. I recommend Mod-Bikes! Great service and awesome e-Bikes! Thanks Mod-Bikes
Absolutely love our new mod easy’s. They were very easy to assemble especially if you follow the you tube video on how to assemble your mod Easy. We have taken our dogs and our grand daughter in the side car and everyone loves going for rides.

My husband and I have been shopping around for a quality E-bike at an affordable price for a while. We saw the ad for Mod bikes and liked what we saw. If you like the look of the Sahara/sidecar, just wait til you ride it! Surprisingly peppy and easy to navigate, even with my furry passengers. They took to it immediately. I did a little customizing on the sidecar to make it my own, still looking for the right flying dog stickers! The staff is amazing for all of your questions, making assembly much better. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company and this bike to anyone.

We bought the MOD Easy Sahara with sidecar for my brother in honor of his 50th birthday. We planned to give it to him at a surprise party about 3-4 weeks out from the date of our order.
The bike arrived promptly approximately one week before the party. We followed the assembly instructions, but we kept getting an error when we tried to start it up. The folks at MOD helped us systematically troubleshoot the issue. When it turned out that we had a bad controller, they sent us a new one free of charge via next-day shipping. We installed the new controller, and the bike worked perfectly.
My brother absolutely loves the bike and has been riding it every day since he got it. MOD Bikes is an awesome company, and I can't recommend them highly enough.

Experiencing outstanding customer service is a bonus while supporting a local business when I bought my e-bike.
I got the Modbike city to help tackle the hills while still getting some exercise enjoying cycling around town. I didn’t expect to use the throttle, but it’s a game changer taking off after a red light.
Customer service was outstanding from start to finish. Mike asked what I was looking for and what bikes I’ve previously ridden and I took some test drives. When I came to pick up my bike, they adjusted the seat height for me and I was shown how to use everything and went through all of the extra attachments. I was also pleased to see a calendar invite for my 3 month tune up arrive the next day!
